Now this is a nice piece of news!
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin is donating all the proceeds form his new book Be Ready When The Sh*t Goes Down: A Survival Guide to the Apocalypse to charity.
According to Forrest’s site, he will be donate profits from the book to a variety of causes, including the following:
- Fisher House, which donates temporary homes to the families of hospitalized soldiers
- Three Square, a Las Vegas food bank
- His church
- A trust fund for the 5-year old son of a deceased friend
So yes, Forrest Griffin can be a bit of a curmudgeon in interviews, but this is a very generous gesture that will help a lot of people in need.
, Three Square, a food bank in Las Vegas, our church, and then a couple more personal ones. The guy Big John [Grantham], in the book, he passed away, and he’s got a five-year-old son, and he’s got a trust set up, so some of it’s for that as well. I kept no money from the book. It didn’t go to charities like the “Forrest Griffin Needs a New Car Foundation.”
